MIDNIGHT MAGIC: DROP ME A LINE

PERMVAC085-1 cover

Midnight Magic are back and spread their fairy dust one more time to enchant you. After last year’s “Beam Me up“ single which speaks the universal language of dance music and became almost like an anthem of the second heydays of Disco played by everybody from Harvey to the Ed Banger posse the band gives us their second single “Drop Me A Line“.
Once again it has all the ingredients we love so much from the infectious bassline to the whirly keyboards and the uplifting horns to the captivating vocals by. The original is backed up by a massive remix package by no other than Holy Ghost!, Steffi, Juan MacLean (digital only) and Mano Le Tough.

Tensnake: great package !
Joakim: i like that mano le tough remix!
Soul Clap: all about the mano. he’s so tuff. big time party vibes!
Darshan Jesrani: I would play the Holy Ghost mix. It’s pretty great. Almost more suited to Tiffany’s vocal than the original version. And that piano part is nuts, it’s like Bruce Hornsby dancing with Bobby Orlando in a sweaty gay disco in Rimini.
Ewan Pearson: the steffi mix is great!
Pilooski: Me like it a lot!
Snuff Crew: We have been big fans of “Beam me up” (and still love it so much). Now Midnight Magic catches us again with their music and we really fall in love with “Drop Me A Line”. What a great song! The remixes are also very cool!
ND Baumecker: Killer !

The record is available in our Online Shop and at all good record shops.

084-2 cover

Here comes the second part of our IF THIS IS HOUSE I WANT MY MONEY BACK compilation. Again we are very happy to have a nice little cast of our favourite producers on the more housey tip with all new and exclusive tracks. Contributions come from our our friends from Spain John Talabot and Pional who never fail to deliver pure quality. “Leave Me” by John Talabot has been a sure dancefloor burner for quite some time. Then we are proud to have a superb track by the Beautiful Swimmers outa Washington – excited ! Jacob Korn teams up with his buddy Cuthead to come along with the very first Kornhead track. Another collabo comes from Soul Clap & Trickski, delivering “Members Of The Clap”. Another one comes from our good friends from Leipzig Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt, who just had a blasting performance at our last Permanent Vactation night in Munich; here you get the first track of their live set. Then we have great stuff from Berlin residents Mano Le Tough – who also did a stunning remix for the next Midnight Magic 12″ coming soon – Hunee, Slow Hands and Session Victim. Lastly there is a new track from ourselves, plus an edit we did for the spacey old school masterpiece by Contra Communem Opinionem from Switzerland.

ARGY: REMINISCENCE EP

083-1 cover

Right after his deep excursions into Kraut and Kosmische as Zodiac Free Arts Club Argyris Theofilis is back under his Argy moniker. Following the superb “Daze To Come“ 12” for Versatile records here comes the “Reminicence EP“.

This record is again deeply rooted in the club or well in this case you can also say Finca, as the sound is made in the spirit of the golden years of the white island end of the 80’s/ early 90’s. Especially “Wish You Were Here“ (also featured in a dub version) and “Tari Tari“ are like some futuristic nuggets from Alfredo’s record box with its big basslines, dreamy synths and pianos plus some carefully sprinkled acid sounds; simply essentials for the outdoor season and for your Permanent Vacation. Also Argy’s own remix of the ZFAC track “N.A.O.E “ is certainly connected to Ibiza as it’s dedicated to the islands outpost in Manchester the legendary Hacienda club.
As a digital bonus track Bostro Pesopeo puts his magic fingers on another track from the Zodiac Free Arts Club LP “Floating Wolrd“ and turns “Ein Lied Für Popol Vuh“ into a futuristic boogie jam in his own trademark style.

Radioslave: the hacienda mix sounds dope !! Joakim: Great release, I really want that Hacienda mix please Kiki: argy never fails to impress! wish you were here dub sounds definitely like a permanent vacation! great! Eric Duncan / Rub n Tug: sounds ace! Mark E: hacienda mix is fire Mike Simonetti: yo man this is great! Willie Graf: Very nice feelings expressed on this EP. Argy is great! Manuel Tur: Ibiza Smasher… Faze Action: nice release like em all but get reading for Ibiza im gonna head for Tari Tari , Wish you were hear Dub works as well
