Born and bred in Toronto, Canada, Steve Yanko cut his teeth in the then small but growing local DJ scene. While initially making tracks on an ASR10 sampler, his obsession with live disco and recording grew to a current state of equipment madness. And with this growth came the development of his signature live house sound. His hot imprint Truffle Music has quickly made its place in the world of electronic music, turning heads with releases and remixes by such acclaimed artists as Munk, Brennan Green, Dubious and Sans Soleil.
Steve has released under his own name and his alias, The Voices, on labels such as: Prize, Plant, House League Music, Play, Radio SoulWax and Truffle. In 2005 Steve mixed a DJ compilation for Chicago house legends Trax Records along with being commissioned to re-master a large portion of their historic back catalogue. This is his first double A side for permanent vacation.
